It depends on the state. In Arizona, a "Right to Work" state, an employer can let go of an employee at any time, for any reason except the illegal ones. For some employers, it is a non-issue. For others, depending on the role the employee plays within the company, if can be a reason for being let go. Especially with high-risk positions where large amounts of money is managed or handled on a daily basis.
